Glædeligt forårsjævndøgn 🌱☀️

Happy Spring Equinox 🌱☀️

It has been a beautiful, hazy morning.

It's as if the elements are meeting today.
Cold from the earth.
Warmth from the sun.
Moisture in the air.
Dryness in the old plant parts.
And a light breeze, mixing it all so nicely.

All the new sprouts emerge from the earth, while all the old is decaying and slowly fading away.

Spring is clearly on its way, which aligns perfectly with the spring equinox and the astrological new year.

What is the spring equinox?

The spring equinox marks the transition from winter to spring and is one of the natural turning points of the year.
It is the time of year when day and night are of equal length, and when light begins to take over.
Soon, the days will be longer than the nights.

The spring equinox represents new beginnings, new energy, fertility, sprouting and growth – and not least, hope.

Historically, the spring equinox has been celebrated in many cultures and traditions as a very special time of year, when light returns and a new cycle begins.
A time when the shift from winter's darkness to spring's light and life has been marked.

The Wood Element and Chinese Medicine

Spring has now undoubtedly begun, which in traditional Chinese medicine is linked to the wood element and the organ pair liver and gallbladder.
The energy of the element is upward – or rather, ascending.

It is an energy that wants to move forward.
Think of the beautiful, delicate sprouts breaking through the hard, cold earth right now.

The energy shifts from an introverted energy to a more extroverted energy –
from stillness and calm to activity and initiative.

Meditation for celebrating the Spring Equinox

There are infinitely many rituals and exercises for celebrating the spring equinox.
Honestly, I'm not into grand rituals. I often find that they take me further away from what matters to me – what I find on the inner planes, in my own way.

I personally enjoy something as simple as a good meditation and a good walk in nature.
The connection to nature is so simple; it's just about taking a walk and appreciating nature's beauty.
Gratitude and grounding are my golden nuggets in life.

Free meditation on earth energy

Therefore, today I felt like recording a meditation on earth energy for you.

It is a simple but effective exercise that works both cleansing and grounding – and creates a fantastic sense of connectedness.
A meditation that helps create calm in the body and connection to the earth and to ourselves.

It's a meditation I return to as often as I can, and which I find can make a big difference – especially during periods of change, or if I feel overwhelmed.
It's also really good at helping me keep other people's energies out of my system.

It's such a good exercise that I've chosen to share it with you in my app under "Free exercises."

I highly recommend using it daily – or whenever you feel the need to settle, let go, and find peace.

Now you might wonder why I choose to share a meditation on earth energy when we are heading into spring and thus the wood energy.
But all trees need grounding and solid roots.

In fact, many practitioners also start by working with earth energy – i.e., the stomach and spleen, which are linked to late summer.
Furthermore, our wood element controls the earth element, as wood absorbs nutrients from the earth.

Chakra Course

The meditation is also part of my chakra course, which I plan to offer again. Keep an eye on "events" in my webshop, where I will be posting the course soon. As always, there are limited spots. You are also welcome to write to me if you would like to join 😊🙏🏻

Warmly,
Isabelle
